Your blue front is probably better with you than without you, even with less attention than normal. But only you know what you can and can't handle right now. We now have an African Grey whose former companion just had her first child. I originally offered to foster this guy until his owner felt she was ready to have him back, but her mind was made up. [Although she appreciates the occasional update we send.]
Maybe you can find someone who would be willing to foster until you've gotten yourself settled in? I know a local [to me] rescue has done that. If the person whose parrot was being fostered decided the parrot would no longer fit their lifestyle, the rescue kept it. But many people just needed a few months or a year to get back onto an even keel. It is something to think about.
