at a toy...

So yeah I moved the toy he was attacking. And he now just head bobs, dances at it and regurgitates food on his top perch. I believe it's some sign of affection towards his toy... is it something I should let happen?

I actually think he was frustrated with the toy because it was in his way and he likes to fly attached to the corner perch. As soon as the toy was out the way, he was flapping like mad in his cage. (hence how he damaged one feather)

I'm finding this all very strange. But it's learning for me and him. In a good way, as he likes me quite a lot now. I know when I've stepped over his comfort zone as he went pretty tired yesterday and just wanted to get back in his cage and sleep. He got himself stuck almost in the open door and couldn't work out how to get back in. Up down like a lost sheep. When I went to place my hand near him to get him to move up (all the way to the top where he could clamber over) He moved to peck my finger! But then I think he realised I was only trying to help.

He's such a character, I love watching him. And when he's tired, he just goes in his cage, and has a kip. (bit like me in an afternoon, snoozing as he's up early)
