Regurg on perch

I think my male is regurgitating on his perch and then eating it? He does this sometimes, not often. I could never figure out what he is eating or where it came from. I look over and he's just seemingly chewing on this plastic thing on the end of this makeshift perch in my room. Then I look closer and it looks like food. Before, I would see it dried up and wonder how the hell it got there! Now I realize he is regurgitating.

Perfectly normal? Any cause for concern?

Normal for some. One of mine does this occasionally. Seems to run in cycles. This particular male is not sexual with birds or people, BTW, and does not masturbate on objects either.

I've heard of.many other males who regurg and eat immediately.

Chico likes to regurgitate, chew it a second time, mashing it all up, then swallow it. He doesn't leave it anywhere except for the little crustiness on the side of his beak that I get when he kisses me.

Yes, my male is the same way, I've never observed him doing anything of the sort.
