This is Reggie, he is around 8 to 10 months old. I do have a question, I have a cuttlebone in Reggie's cage which he uses regularly, but I have noticed his beak is curled under slightly. At what point should I look into getting his beak trimmed, or should I? Any advice is appreciated!

Welcome!

Beak irregularities are so critical and injurious, potentially...

I'm no 'keet expert, but it does look a bit long to me. Do you have an expert handy nearby... breeder, avian vet, other experienced people?

Here are some vet links.

In my opinion, any of the vets listed here should be better than a regular vet.

We have some great parakeet people here. Hopefully they'll be around later.

Reggie is a BEAUTY. I love parakeets! I'd have some if the Rickeybird would let me, I swear.

Welcome to you and Reggie, love his colors!

I too would defer to our Budgie experts or veterinary expertise!

I had the same problem with my budgie blue and it went to normal by itself how long do you have reggie?

cute! talk to a vet about the beak---there are many medical problems that can cause beak overgrowth.
