Parrots
Amy a Blue Front 'Zon
Jonesy a Goffins 'Too who had to be rehomed :-(

And a Normal Grey Cockatiel named BB who came home with me on 5/20/2016.
Jimmy,a friend of mine for over 40 years, has a Red Lorded Amazon..

I have met Jake a few times. He doesn't talk much, preferring to speak in 'zon lingo, but is quite the whistler,he has mastered The Andy Griffth Show remarkably.
He would tolerate me scratchin' his head, and sometimes take a peanut from me.
Jimmy can do anything with the little guy.

jimmy called me tonight to wish me a Happy New Year, then told me his story..Tonight,Jimmy was watching tv,and Jake was in his house, doing typical amazon stuff..whistling..mumbling amazon gibberish, banging his bells and playing with his boing.
Jim said Jake stopped...looked at him funny..flapped his arms and squawked, then fell off his perch! Jim ran to his house and picked the poor guy up,but he was gone :31:..just like that. My friend is devastated. He was Jakes parront for over 32 years.
We never know when the time will come, for us humans,or for our animal friends. Be it a dog, cat, bird, guinne pig or rat..it just hurts like hell :11:

My most sincerest condolences to my friend Jimmy, and may you R.I.P. Jake, knowing you gave Jim years and years of laughter and joy.

Oh gosh, that's terrible! I'm sorry about the loss!
Any idea what happened?

Oh. I'm so sorry. 😕 it's horrible when these types of things happen. But the most important thing is that his parrot has a good healthy life and was loved. There are so many poor animals out there that know nothing of love or what it feels like to be part of a family....

My condolences...

How utterly devastating, unexpected and tragic! :(

Jim, please give your friend Jimmy my most sincere condolences!

Fly free Jake!

Wow, that is so horrible and sudden. I'm glad your friend has you to talk to to share the burden of this kind of grief. Please pass along our collective compassion.

My condolences to your friend for his loss. And after 32 years? All without warning? Must be devastating for him.

But at least it was quick. There's some solace in that, as Jake didn't suffer.

Fly free, Jake!

Condolences for your friend, Jim. That must have been an awful shock and a terrible loss.

Rest In Peace, Jake.

So sorry to hear this, Jim. Condolences to Jimmy for the loss of Jake.

Jake was a wonderful companion and will be deeply missed. Sadly, sudden losses leave no time for contemplation.
