When I brought home my red belly she was 6 months old and afraid of people. I have been target training daily about six weeks without much luck on stepping up.
Sometime about a week ago a light bulb went off for her and she is now stepping up on command. She is no longer skittish and afraid but has turned into a little clown.
She is talking now a few words and laughing. The laughing is quite funny to me because she will sit and have a conversation with herself mostly just gibberish and then start laughing.
All of the above is great.
Now for the not so great
She will scream and flap her wings like crazy if somebody enters the room and she decides she wants out of her cage. I realize ignoring this is probably the best solution but am curious for any feedback and certainly dont want to do anything to encourage a screaming bird.
