RECALL of bird formula.

I am not sure if anyone has posted this, but I got an email today from petsmart. There has been a recall on the Kaytee Exact baby bird formula. I looked it up and it includes certain expiration dates on certain ones. I will copy and post the info I got on another site. If you have this formula, you can take it to petsmart and they will refund your money. PLease be aware of this. I hope none of our babies have been affected. Please check your exp dates. I had 3 taking this formula, including my Midori. Everyone seems to be ok, but I will be watching them very closely.

Subject: IMPORTANT - Kaytee Handfeeding Formula

Susan,

Final lab results were concluded on Friday and indicated that product was
produced incorrectly. Involved was one production batch of Handfeeding Formula
for Baby Birds and one of Macaw Handfeeding Formula. Both of these have levels
of vitamin D3 that may cause kidney damage, the severity of which will be
dependent on the species being fed, age of babies fed and the duration of
feeding.

This is exactly why I am not a huge fan of Kaytee's stuff. ):

(It's nutrition is not the best, especially in their pelleted food, and it its quite sloppily produced. Not worth it by a long shot.)
