Reasonably priced bird food

Hi--I have a couple canaries and have ordered the Wild Harvest bird food for canaries and finches on Amazon and Ebay; also got some of their Universal blend which has bits of soy in it. I realize these are not great but there is a huge price jump with the quality bird food. Does anyone have a recommended affordable blend available in the US? Thanks.

I understand your concern regarding the increasing cost of Companion Bird Food. But it is very important to understand that it is a combination of the quality of the food provided, driven by the rapid digestive system of Birds /Parrots. In their natural range, they would normally seek-out the highest quality food available to them.

Regarding Bird Food Costs today: The rapidly increasing costs are only going to continue over the months, possibly years ahead. In addition, quality food will become ever more difficult to find as shortage will continue to expand.

Government choice are having dangerous effects as exampled by the current shortage of Baby Formula. The same could occur over a vast number of what one would consider common food for Humans, let alone specialities like Bird Food.
