Midori is doing great! She is such a sweet baby girl. She is 11 weeks old now and down to one feeding in the evening. She ate a really good lunch today of green beans, rice, kiwi, and banana, w/ her seed/pellet mix, and had a nutriberry for a snack. She still does not have much interest in water, but she drinks some when she takes her daily bath in the sink.
My breeder called me the other day with a proposal. She needs an assistant. She needs someone to order supplies, and help hand raise some of her babies. She is going to train me for the next few weeks on feeding the smaller babies, and then set me up with a couple of brooder boxes. I will then raise a few clutches from 2 weeks old until 7 or 8 weeks and then they will go back to her when they are ready for the weaning cage. I will get the first pick of every clutch to either sell, keep, or breed. I think I will sell certain breeds and keep the green cheek breeds so I can maybe start setting up the breeder cage that I am going to get. : )
Midori is on my shoulder under my hair going to sleep right now, and she is mumbling in my ear! LOL. Too cute!
