Hey guys, my question is simple, i have researched so much on these birds but still feel like i am missing something. Can someone please tell me a bit about African Greys and Cockatiels. Family members: CHILD,PARENTS,NEWBORN,COCKER SPANIEL DOG, RAGDOLL CAT.

After so much research, what remains for you to know? African Greys and Cockatiels are very different birds, from the POV of attributes, needs, and cost of companionship. I would encourage you to read through various threads in our Grey and Cockatiel forums for many first-hand accounts!

It sounds like the missing piece is for you to go spend time with the actual birds. No amount of research can reveal what they are truly like.

I echo Dani, I experienced this myself, being torn between an ekkie and mini macaw. No amount of research will prepare you for what it is ACTUALLY like. You do need to get out and meet some.

I remember being torn between a cockatiel and my lovie. I do wish i had a 'tiel now, to teach my lovie more words!
