Parrots
RIP Constantine: Jenday Conure
So I've always loved birds since I was little to the horror of my mother. The love turned into an obsession when Con made me her guardian and my family knows I am now bird crazy. I've always considered becoming certified for Wildlife Rescue because I end up with baby birds and bunnies by the basketful every summer and an "Aunt" of mine is certified. It slipped my mind until tonight.

My mom and stepdad ran into an old friend a few hours ago who mentioned they had to stop doing raptor rescue and rehabilitation because of his wife's hip replacement. Now there are no Raptor Rescues in my area. The closest one is two hours away. My mom enthusiastically volunteered me for this amazing job then came home and told me. I'm super excited but don't want to jump into something like this until I have my own home where I can build the proper aviaries for my rescues and my personal birds. I just had to tell some people that would understand the excitement I'm feeling. It's an honor to be considered good enough to save those majestic creatures and return them to their natural habitat. So happy :)

I know you are excited. I love the falcons. They are such good fliers. Saw one in action close up, a Kestrel.
