Hi All

A new conure owner here. I have read quite a bit on the danger of candles, not so much the naked flame which is common sense but the actual fumes given off.

Are incense sticks also dangerous to them?

Does anyone know if the lemon scented geranium plants are dangerous too....i don't mean eating or nibbling but guess if he landed amongst the plant are the oils dangerous as they do give off a heavy scent.

I have read the posts that suggest simmering lemons or cinnamon sticks as alternatives, just checking on these too.

Thanks in advance

Incense are definitely TOXIC.

Some candles are toxic to humans because of lead in the wicks. Soy and bees wax are said to be better but it's a bit controversial. Why get wax when we have the wonderful electronic candles now. My sister even has a remote for hers.

In the House of the Rickeybird, there are no candles or incense or any scented stuff.
Good for you for reaching out and asking!
I like your style.
