Rambo, has been In my care for about two years now. He is a long tailed parakeet (psitaculla longicauda). He is a wild caught, so I have to do a lot of things to adjust him to our circumstances. His diet on palm oil fruit is the hardest thing to change! Now he eat almost anything, except vegetable which he never likes. But for pellet, fruit and seed he got no problem.
As a wild caught bird, the cautiousness as his natural behavior and the trust are things that hurdle me in taming process. Two years for three or four tricks is not a bad result IMHO. This is a sample on his progress in training: fly to the perch, turn arround and walk to me and step up from every side of the perch.
