I was reading through and saw about a ParrotForums APP, Gift Exchange, and comments on how we can contribute to the forums as well.
Just to throw an idea out there, how about just a simple raffle???
1-2 brand new bird care products, toys, food, ect, ect, a month... (New so we dont have to worry about diseases or other health related problems) and those who want to participate can buy tickets to possibly win said prizes. A fraction of the money would cover the cost of the items, and the rest could go towards Forum upkeep, and possibly rescue organizations or so on.
I have not been on here long enough to know if this has been done before or not but I feel this would be a great idea. With how many people are on here, there is a chance that each person spending a few dollars (1-5) they could win 50 to 100 dollars worth of goods. With enough people participating, the income potential to help the forums and possible charities (or even help those in need on the forums) would be greatly improved.
I myself picked up junk cages, and re-purposed / re-conditioned them and given them away / sold at very low prices (just to cover my costs to fix it). Im talking full new hardware, powder-coating, re-weld spots if needed, virtually like a brand new cage. But I knew I was helping and that's what mattered.
Any thoughts?
