Hi all

So I thought I would share a quick update on my babies, they are doing so so well and are both such sweeties. their names have changed though to Dexter and Gizmo. Dexter being the cheekier and louder of the 2 and Gizmo the more quiet placid one.
Bonding is going very well, both birds have bonded well to me and my 2 sons which im very happy about and also seem to be accepted by my dogs( yes I keep a very close eye) My min pin is acting like a daddy to dex and giz, cleans them after feeding and protects them from the other animals.

they are approx. 5 weeks old now and are starting to lear how to perch in their cage and eat pellets and seed. so overall hey are doing really well.

anyway here is a pic of us

Very cute photo!!! And I love how you can tell that they are yellowsides!

Do you know what mutations their parents are?

Thanx Monica.

no idea about the parents mutations, I will post a pic of the parents here. I just saw a pic from the breeder of one of their siblings and the colouring in completely different, amazingly beautiful!

Pic 1 is of my babies
pic2 The parents
Pic 3 The sibling which looks completely different

They are beautiful. The sibling's color is soooo coooool!

The one that's different, she's a "high red" pineapple mutation! Parents are "high red" yellowsides, father is split cinnamon (hence the different looking chick).

Goes to show that your two green cheeks will be gorgeous adults! :)

oh wow. thanx for that info, I would never have guessed lol.
Man now I cant wait for them to grow up! just wish I could have gotten their sibling to! she is gorgeous, but my breeder promised if they get another one its mine hehehe

She reminds me of a firecracker/fireworks! Very bright and bursting with colors! :D

They should be able to get more like her with future breedings! :)

Here's one breeder that has some truly red green cheeks! (Just to show you how red they can get!)
