Do cockatiels use their feet like the larger birds? I haven't been able to find any info on if they do.

What a neat question. I've never seen my cockatiels use their feet to eat a treat, but hey it looks like they can! Ha!

lol it almost looks as if they are picking the popcorn out of their beaks. I have a budgie who uses her foot like a big bird so tiels probably can too. Thanks for the info

Generally speaking, they don't.... but that's not to say that they can't! ;)

I remember a pair my aunt had when I was a kid, I don't recall them ever using their feet but they never did do anything that I considered very interesting as a kid.

Maybe I can teach spikey to use her foot, I'll have to find something big she likes to eat and try that :)

Most don't.....out of a bunch of tiels I've had in the past none did, I've got one right now that holds food with her feet. But they generally don't like Monica says.
