Hello everyone? What does it mean when my CAG keep trying to shove his beak in or near my mouth? He seems to be really loving when he is going this but I am worried this is courtship behavior....like he is trying to feed me. I just put him back on his play gym for awhile. But every time I pick him back up he does it again. Any thoughts?

You've got it exactly backwards.

HE'S EXPECTING YOU TO FEED HIM!

If this is a young bird, it's probably more a "parent bird" issue than a mating issue. If he's under 7-ish, I would suspect it's not a breeding issue.

Feeding issues aren't just mating anyway. It's a bird's way of saying I love you. It basically means he's bonded to you.

But there are all sorts of germs in your mouth that they shouldn't be exposed to, so I wouldn't encourage it.

The social aspect of sharing food is of far greater value than the occasional "bad" food concerns (IMHO)
As long as you have a reasonably healthy diet low in sodium and don't live on chips Capt Crunch and pork rinds there's not much harm.
