So I finally have been successful at finding a variety of beans and grains. I understand how to do an 8+ hr soak and boil for the large beans from the Bird Safe Fresh Foods sticky as well as sprouting certain beans/seeds. Pretty straight forward.

But I have finally found ground Millet and flax seed. How are these served? Raw and just mixed in?

This is the millet I found:

I read somewhere I can ground flax seed and sprinkle on his food since the outer shell doesn't get broken up in the system. But the millet...they are tiny granules. Can they also be cooked?

Also the safe foods sticky specifically said "large beans" need to be soaked and boiled. Is it safe to assume I can just boil small beans like Mung beans, lentils, and split peas without soaking?

Miller can be served sprouted, raw, or cooked.

Flax doesn’t need to be ground. What do you think the beak is for? :D

That's what I was thinking LOL . Thought it was weird they said that.

Is millet to be used sparingly since it is so fatty? My bird is not flighted, but active (as active as a non flighted bird can be).
