Question about hotel stays & birds

As we were traveling back from St. Louis to NC over the weekend, we stayed at a Laquinta Inn....obviously, pet-friendly! However, I'm wondering if any hotel would be especially picky about a bird staying. I can see where dogs and cats could cause some issues but birds ARE a little different in that respect.

Any experience traveling with your Amazons?

I used to take George the YCA with me on vacation sometimes, and he was always welcome wherever I stayed. George and I also lived in some extended-stay hotels for a few months, and he made lots of friends among the housekeeping staff. :)

I, too, have travelled with birds. In pet friendly motels, there was never a problem. And, in one that was not advertised as pet friendly, they allowed me to stay, after showing the management that they were in cages. And I promised that they would not be let out in the room.

That's what I was figuring. I think I will call ahead to Savannah (where we are headed next week) and just see. Thanks for the responses :)
