Question about feather pigments

I notice that compared to other GCC's, Kyo's flight feathers are really dark at the tends.

They aren't stress bars, more a dark grey that fades into to blue of her flight feathers. Neither of the vets I use were concerned, but I am curious if this is a colour mutation? Or will she molt them out?

I'll try to get a photo tonight when I get home from work.

Pazu's wings are like that. I assumed it was bronzing from getting around and them rubbing on surfaces (he likes to climb around a lot).

I could be wrong though?

I'm wondering that too, since the rest of her feathers are coming in beautifully. Hopefully when her flights molt I'll find out for sure.
