Question about bonded conures

Hi all,
Just a question for anyone who has bred conures before. I have never bred any birds before but am thinking about starting with conures - one question I can't seem to find on the internet is about how friendly a pair of conures would be once bonded to each other. I want to know if, once the pair has bonded together, if they would still be receptive to being handled or played with like pet birds, or would they detach completely from the people that raised them? Is is species or personality specific?

I can only speak about my two sun conures. I did not hand-raise or feed them but both were purchased when young. they are both males and came from the same clutch making them brothers. They are VERY bonded however......neither one likes to be handled. They will step-up and on occasion, play with you as long as it's hands off!
