Quaker's strange noise

One Quaker- Piper
Hi there!
I've noticed that when Piper is contented and near me she makes a very very quiet noise that sounds like that little popping noise when you part your lips. Like a dull thus or quiet popping noise that's not high pitch or shrill. She usually makes 3 "popping" noises in a row. They are whisper quiet. Its Not a breathing problem as she does this on purpose and only when she is happy and near me. If I make the noise to her, she repeats it back to me. Its not like when she repeats a word or learned noise.. this seems innate.

Do all parrots do this? Anyone else heard it?

My Tuukee makes lil popping sounds too, but more like when you're bout to make a 'ca' sound, or the sound of the mouth opening. i imitate him and he does it back. we play that game for bout 15-20min. and then we work on imitating other sounds. (i'm a first time Qp mommy) i've always taken it as lovey sounds and kinda playin. we play with the 'Grudge' sound, farting sounds, snorting, and kissy sounds and he even imitates the sound i make when i'm itching my throat lol. he loves the movie Rio, and even makes the car alarm sound and loves when the songs come on.
everyday he has a new sound poppin outa him, just enjoy all the uniqueness of the 'tape recorder' that poops on your shoulder, demands affection and whatever is on your plate, bc those sounds will make you laugh and when she says something like what you know... you'll be so proud of her!
he's with me now and purring and doin his 'ca' thing as i type lol. love these lil birds!

while bobbin his head in a 'yes' manner- he also does this odd dolphin sound too, and it kinda sounds like he's laughin... that one cracks me and my hubby up, lol.

cooper makes that kind of noise too. and when he is REALLY happy he will bob his head really fast and say " doo doo doo doo doo, doo doo, doo." if some sort of rhythm. it is awesome. like he is singing!

Rio makes this cooing or whoop sound. It's really faint, but does it when she is happy and wants my attention. :)

Tuukee does that whooping sound while bobbing his head too, that's too funny. but when he does it it's loud, but then again i'm trying to teach him what quiet means. he's gettin it already. holy mother of cheese are these babes soo friggin smart!!!! i don't know if it from the movie Rio but he sometimes sounds like hes saying rio rio rio rio rio rio, or he does this funny hissing sound when he's fired up and wants to play, he'll even make the sound toward my shirt so we can play beak bite- just like the game you play w your dogs or cats by swooshing your hand back and forth for them to attack or pounce, Tuukee likes to tug on my shirt- kinda bang it up and down while he makes this 'pew pew pew pew pew pew' sound the same time his does the hissing sound. :D we call that beak bite!
