My poor baby quaker tiki is 3 months old and keeps plucking my eye lashes. He especially does this when I'm wear mascara it hurts really bad and I usually don't react because I know if you give him attention he will do it more... How can I correct this habit?

Birds are OCD and they will keep going because it's something they want to get after. Keep him away from your face and deter him from doing so period. You need to react at times by telling him no. Offer him toys and treats to go after instead of your eye lashes.

So you are abusing yourself by allowing your parrot to pluck your eye lashes? That's really odd....

Best way to train him out of it is to prevent him from having access to your eye-lashes and keep him busy with foot toys or other activities!

I usually do but I can't help but snuggle up to him closely then he goes after my eye lashes and it's all down hill when he does this I usually put him into his cage for a bit

You need to be absolutely consistent. Turn away and say 'no' firmly whenever he does it. Nudge him away from your face if you have to, but do it calmly and gently. And do it *every single time* he misbehaves! If you swipe at him or bellow, he'll just enjoy the reaction and probably do it more often. Birds are like kids: they'll do what you tolerate until you stop tolerating it. :D

I do allow my birds to preen my eyelashes if they want to, but they don't pluck them out! If they did, I wouldn't allow them access to that part of my face! I also don't think that mascara would be good for him if he were to ingest some of it...

Sounds like your best option is to prevent and redirect the behavior. (as mentioned)
