So I’ve been having issues with my Quaker he’s been having this on going issue where he picks at his feathers daily and I can’t seem to figure the issue out we let him out the cage everyday last time I took him to the vet they said he’s a bit overweight I never done his bloodwork either he’s comfortable in the house but has developed that bad habit showering him doesn’t help neither any suggestions?

Hello welcome to the forum.
I have a feather picker too.
I can tell you what my vet recommend. Six hours of out of the cage and hanging with me daily. Ten hours if sleep not Disturbed. 15-30 minutes outside in light shade daily ( I manage two three times a week) a good diet of lots of leafy greens a d veggies. Toys to pick at, I have shredding paper she teasses out, and old paperback books to shred, I offer millet sprays once a week for her to pick at. Sometimes she stops plucking for awhile, then if she gets stressed she starts again...
I think it's hard to have success, but it's something to continue to battle....
Mine pluck a ring around her neck, uses her feet to pull down feathers to pluck.
I did have worked up for this to rule out health issues...
There are threads here plucking a search for answered...
