Conure grunts and quacks (Short Video)

He's sounds so happy. Sometimes I catch him head first, both feet sticking up in the air, kicking up shredded paper. I might put shredded paper inside one of those cat tunnels and let him go wild. Do you think it might trigger nesting behavior if I let him play like this for 30 minutes to an hour each day?

The video is adorable, Boomer was obviously having fun. Personally, I don't see the harm in letting him play with shredded paper. If he starts acting hormonal, you can always take away the opportunity.

Too cute!
A little play with paper should be fine I think.
I'm considering letting mine having some limited shredded paper fun too after seeing this video :p

Seriously cute... I have a toy with shredded paper hanging from it and JellyBean loves it.. but am definitely going to try this!!

Aww how adorable! My little Cisco would love that! He does seem to get hormonal with paper but if it was for a short time I think it would be fine.

Actually, mine only seem to get hormonal about nests made from my flip-flops...

Oh my, that is so cute! My boyfriend and I were in cahoots over how ecstatic Boomer was over all that shredded paper. His happy noises are just hilarious! Personally I don't see the harm so long as they aren't actually being hormonal. Boomer just seems like he's having a jolly old time [emoji16]

Thanks for all the responses! Great to hear I can let him enjoy his favorite thing without too much worry. It's funny when he's in the bin, all I can hear are quacks, then I see puffs of shredded paper flying up in the air and his butt sticking out, both feet pedaling.

I have so many more of these vids, I'll try to upload when we get back home tonight!

Mine only make tie dye marbled paper with poop and berry juice so far  If it wasn't so disgusting I would actually frame some of their more talented art works :D

OMG that videos reminds me SOOOOOO much of Skittles. He does those exact same actions and noises when he is in my shirts or in the laundry basket. He LOVES his fabric!

He likes to rub his beak and face in my chest hairs. As soon as Boomer started that little head dance in the paper basket I said 'that's Skitty in my shirt!'.

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with Boomer playing in that paper. If it was newspaper (or some other kind that had chemicals on it) that would be different. But obviously you already took that into consideration.

I have to keep my Harry Potter and Stephen King books out of Skittles reach. He destroyed an Edgar Allan Poe novel a long while back and I was none too happy.
