Parrots
One Pineapple Conure.
Hatched late 2018.
Can anyone suggest a toy / puzzle that my Conure might enjoy? She is quite reluctant to leave me when she is out of her cage. Im happy to sit at the table with her and teach her,its getting the initial interest. I put a box of buttons out,but she was totally disinterested.........now if it had been fruit.....!

Hmmm, I recall that Conure's love to construct things (like huge nests) and all one needs to do is to provide building materials.

I would research that a bit to assure that it does instill mating behaviors.

Is destroying things completely a puzzle?

Because mine are on the super advanced "achievement unlocked" version of that if so.....

Do you have Conure Mafia? they sound like a right pair of tearaways! I bet you love them anyway?
I just wish mine would detatch herself from me,I feel her time outside the cage is wasted.

OH, thismorning, made her a corner platform in wood,to rest her feet, and shes eyeing it up very suspiciously, even though Ive put 3 sunflower hearts on it! Maybe just a cautious bird.

no conures bond HARD....I can't get mine off me.

and yes I love my birds....even they manly burly men at work know not to tease me on that or they will be down in a pit cleaning trash with a toothbrush. Actually they either get it or know better to because no one has.

You're thinking of quakers.

Oh, I remember my conure was glued to me in the beginning. Still is to some extent.
Do you have a cage or playstand nearby. That helps.
Here are some of my conure's favorites
Mastermind heart puzzle
Flying trapeez add a jingle ball to the center
Ferret jingle ball and wagon wheel these have the safe kind of jingle bells
She has these in her cage and I just let her play there with the door open.
PS. You can find this stuff elsewhere, just linking with amazon because most people can see it.

Thankyou SassiBird very helpful info! A trip to the local birdy place is called for.
Yes I'm looking into a play stand, still cant make up my mind what would be the thing to entice her to it, food bowls attached or a mirror, she sits on top of my make up mirror in the morning,a bit like getting in the way when youre on the phone........pay attention to me!

Even a boing hung from the ceiling can be an option. Honestly, mine play on the cage and the hanging boing more so than any of the playstands.
My boing has this toy hung with it.
