Hey everyone,
We are going to carve our pumpkins tonight. I am aware that pumpkin is safe cooked, but is it safe raw? I'd love to let Kyo "help" me tonight, but I know she'll be right after it.

Hopefully she'll be able to join us :)

yep! Perfectly safe. Probably harder to chew through though.

So fun to celebrate holidays with our birds! It aint Halloween without a parrot help carve a pumpkin (in their own very special way, of course:rolleyes:). Kiwi loves raw pumpkin. I don't know that he's ever even eaten it cooked. He likes to come "help" carve the annual pumpkin by mauling it up near the top whilst we humans get working on the grim task of gutting the sucker Once gutted and suitably mauled he'll sit on the rim and stick his head right on in and chow down. Watch the direction of the butt though. One year he pooped IN the pumpkin:mad:

Raw, too? I found out he loves it cooked, just warm, like parrot comfort food. I'll have to try raw now.

Now that is a way of truly making a pumpkin scary, For Sure!!! The visual has me LMAO! Our Julio will try to run off with the lid and at that Amazon: I got a goodie and I'm making a break for it!
