my vet gave me a sample of the new food he bought for his feathered patients and I would love to know if anyone ever heard of it before or tried it - Psittacus parrot food from Catalonia, Spain...

I've never heard of it before so I have no idea if it's any good and I?d love to get some input before I feed it to Suny...

Hi there! I joined just to reply to this. I'm picking up my new GCC next Saturday, and he comes with a 6lb. Bag of this food. I've been trying to research it to see if it compares to TOPS or Harrisons but I can't find reviews. It will be interesting to see the ingredient list on the bag. Let me know if your birds like it. Time will tell if I eventually switch to a more readily available brand. Take care.

This is the ingredients of the Maintenance Formula. They don't list ingredients like we do in the US.

Personally I wouldn't use it as you really have no idea what's in it.

Thanks for the information! My other birds get TOPS and Zupreme, so I'll probably convert the baby eventually.

A online seller provided me with this:

This is newly popular in Southeast and East Asia.

I know breeders who swear by the formula, and owners who love the pellets. We've an ekkie, so no pellets for him.

Anecdotally, nothing bad has happened so far. Wouldn't be able to say if it is better or worse than others. But locally, it is considered to be a better brand than, say, Pretty Bird, etc.
