ok so had my irn for a couple month now and he has started to pluck small white fluffy fethers from under his wings can anyone tel me if this is normal i am slightly worries as ma cockateel did the same and he went bald under his wings.
 
How dry is your home.....there needs to be a humidity level of 40-60 percent for birds to not have a problem.....while daily misting helps, as do daily baths, constant humidity levels are best.....

What do you feed him.....you did know that birds are susceptible to allergies.....you may have to eliminate things.....what has changed from before he started until he started.....you may need to really think about that, as the littlest thing could be the cause, but I would start with the humidity level.....

thanks for the reply funny you ask i have a hygromoter handy and the RH is 30% so not at all good but its scotland that will soon change. and as for changes there has been no changes apart from removing his mirror from the cage as he kept making angry squaks and fighting with it. i feed him a parrot mix from pets at home has everything in it from banana to chillies. dose water ph have an effect ?
