Hahn's macaw, RIP George, Jenday Conure
Ok, once upon a time I was okay at toweling, but lately I have just lost the proper method for wrangling Hahnzel, a.k.a. Mr Wiggles. It's like chasing a naked baby across the floor! Can someone please either post a video or a diagram on how to towel a bird properly? I need to have better control when I am shaping his beak.

Maybe I should use more ginko beloba Weco? I guess in my explanation I should have made it clear that it is a loss of confidence which has led to the problems, not a memory loss. But thank you for the first link anyway.

My fid twists her neck around all crazy like in The Exorcist when she's toweled, and of course the neck is where you hold them! Needs practice i suppose.

I know what you mean about losing confidence in toweling, trust me, I shake like a leaf when I towel Willie to do his nails as he is the hardest one to deal with. I refuse to do his beak though, I rather pay someone to do his beak. Had a bad experience doing his beak years ago that made me lose sleep at night, he started bleeding pretty good and I started freaking out but I did get the bleeding to stop, but unfortunately I didn't sleep that night either checking on him over and over....I can do it but he's a hard one to deal with when you have no help, that's what caused the bleeding in the first place....No one would hold him for him but now I finally have a friend that will hold him for me, he used to work as a vet tech so he holds them pretty good.
