alexandrines : Oxy, Bruno, prince (was princess)
here is a short clip of me training prince today. hard to video to much as for some reason he will only respond to my right hand and holding my phone with its case was difficult. after the recall i go to get him to shake, the first was with left hand (he doesnt like that) then when tried again i think he got camera shy and was more interested in the treat than the trick. as soon as tge camera was away he did it every time.

enjoy and i sorry bout my screechy voice

thank you tab, we are working really hard, and he is loving it.
we dont normally do it from his cage, we do it from the play stand. he will tell me when he wants to do more training. he will fly over to the playstand and sit there facing me calling to me. tgen as soon as i gesture for him to come he does, oh and he does the same if i stop to soon.
poor oxy still hasn't got much flight after we clipped him last time he escaped. he looks to me and positions himself to fly to me but doesnt. unless im sitting on lounge then he will fly to the back of it. he to is kearnong to shake

It didn't work for me :'( do you need photo bucket to view movies?

That's awesome he recalled :D

hes doing so good! Just tonight I made the decision to look up recall training and see what it really is now its 2:15 am and I am still researching about it! I am so very excited to try it tomorrow with my Blue Crown Conure! Hopefully one day he will do as well as Prince!

good luck, it is so much fun. once we get it down pat ill will then move on to training him for the harness so we can play outside. i have tried putting oxy's harness on him but he doesnt like it over his head..... small steps and patience
