Hey guys, this is my first post here :).

I was wondering if you guys had any tip on how you prevent your lovebirds from sitting where they shouldn't.

I will be moving house soon and there will be a large hanging light in my room. I was trying to think of a way to make it birdproof.

I was considering wrapping the majority of it in cling film, and then adding a layer of doublesided sticky plastic to it. My theory is that he wouldn't want to sit on something sticky (but hopefully won't get stuck). Do you guys think that would work? Do you have any better suggestions?

I just use newspaper.

Lovebirds are reluctant to land on anything that is not a solid platform.

If newspaper is propped up, like a tent, or hangs over an edge, my love avoids it.

In fact, she has become reluctant to land on newspaper at all.

My hens love newspaper for shredding, if it is fresh. Many is the time I have been reading one when Kiki has landed on it and started shredding, and the fact it is unstable doesnt faze her.
