Preening his feet

Hi , recently I have noticed that my parrot is preening his feet, knowing how prone parrots are to infection this really worries me. although I could not find any open wounds, I am still worried and not sure if I should take him to the vet just to make sure.
He does his regular appointment with the vet but its two months from now.

Healthy parrots frequently preen their feet with the oil from the gland at the top of their tail. It keeps the skin on their feet healthy.
