What a beauty! He does look like a BFA to me as well.
My husband always comes around:) Let us know what happens!

Go spend some time with that BFA and see how the three of you get along.

Get the basic information regarding the Amazon: Its Age, Sex (DNA verified), how long with the currently owner, what it is currently being fed, who is their Avian Vet, Will they allow you access to the Amazon's health records, etc.... Also, why does the current owner believe that the Amazon is not getting enough time.

Have your guy read the first Thread in the Amazon Forum - Amazon Body Language found in light blue. The neat part about Amazon's is that they have a Body Language that we get some insight as to what is going on with your Amazon.

The picture presents a BFA, which appears to be on the larger size and in full and health feather.

Let use know how your meeting goes!

I am more worried about my husbands attitude than the birds lol. (Thank you so much for that comment Terry57 :D )

okay, so, when i first met the girl who owns the bird, i mentioned that i had two birds and she goes "oh my god! i have a huge green parrot!" so i asked if it was a military macaw (when someone says "huge", i think HUGE) and she said "i think so?" so she sends me a video of him and im like "that's an amazon!" and she goes "is that where it's from?"

so im thinking A: she probably doesn't know any info about age, sex, avian vet, etc... and B: this bird would be a welcome addition to the family considering it will be in better hands

i guess she had left the bird with her mother, who is in and out of the hospital at the moment and they are trying to find a place for the bird. i work from home and both my babies are spoiled with attention ... my jenday came from a bad home and he's come MILES from his bad attitude so im thinking this would be a good thing for Mackey :)

Hes Gorgeous...I do hope your hubby comes round soon awwe just look at him...how could hubby say no LoL :)
Let us know when the new arrival comes home ;)

the only problem my husband has is that we're in a 3 bedroom apartment with 2 birds, 2 and a half children and 2 adults lol... i still think there's plenty of room ^_^

Oh, tell him it's just one itty bitty birdie! Birds aren't that big...:p Cages, and toys, and stands just aren't even worth mentioning :D

Yep..thats a full grown, full sized Blue Front for sure, and looks to be in nice feather also :)
I know I am biased :54: But in my experience with Blue Fronts < I have had Amy almost 27 years now,got her when she was 14 weeks old>
They are highly intelligent, loving.and can be superb talkers. Of course it depends on the individual birdie..but Amy loves everyone and everything.

I just picked up a baby 'teil in April and they get along very well. Amy was friends with Jonesy my 'too...an1d wanted to be pals with Smokey my TAG..The only person Amy didn't like I+s/was my ex wife lol..used to chase her down the hall ;)

Your hubby will love the 'zon..really!

BFA for sure. He looks nice, too. I hope your hubby takes to him. Why not let him Name the new guy?

Well, like my two birds at home now, they came to us named... I don't feel right changing their names after being such and such years old. Plus my hubby has been begging me not to get him and saying things like "oh i won't be mean about it, but don't try to get me involved".. :(

I've been binge watching amazon youtube videos and I'm getting more and more excited ^_^ we've decided on bringing him to the apartment on friday (if not sooner because i will be nagging til he gets here haha)

i sent this picture to the current owner:

You watch, the amazon will bond with hubby and "tolerate" you  And hubby will love you even MORE for being determined on getting Macky lol.

Lets just hope Macky loves EVERYONE in your family! ;)
