Hey guys I will be bringing home two macaws .. age unknown do know ones female ones male.. the original owner mentioned he hasn't handled them much any more .. my only concern is where they will be goin into a new home will the become aggressive?? And how can I work them to be handled and not be aggressive?

1. What species of macaw?

2. Birds that don't get handled tend to not stay tame. That's different than becoming aggressive...

3. Start from scratch. Basic trust exercises. Basic taming and training. Win them over.

4. DO NOT act wishy washy around them, and DO NOT show fear. Firm confident hand, or else just broadcast the fact that the birds can get you to back down.

5. Are these a bonded pair, and are they breeders? If so, the approach is different.

Please read my last post. Maybe you can tell me if his body language is happy, scared or baby bird begging.
