I just adore this picture. Its a new one of 'Skitty' during his latest molt. Luckily, most of the "pinnies" have grown in and he's in preen-on-demand mode now. I also like to call him "bug eyes" and you can see why in the picture.

Porcuparrot That is adorable! Poor Skittles is probably feeling less than adorable right now though. Molting/growing new feathers must be uncomfortable for them. We call Kiwi a little cactus when he's covered in pinfeathers. He typically has the disposition of a cactus during those times too

Skittles DEFINITELY has the 'manipulative face' mode downpacked.

He's grown in most of his new feathers now and the sensitivity is wearing off little by little. The last two nights he's refused to go into his sleep cage until he gets a head scratching and wingpit rubbing. He's very stubborn that way.

The picture was actually taken about 5 feet away using the 'zoom' feature cause he wouldn't let me get close enough with the camera to do a regular shot.
