This little guy just came to my rescue this evening. He is about 15 years old and had lived with the same older woman for his whole life. When she died recently, he went to live with her daughter, but the daughter didn't care much for him and gave him up. Since his original mama died, he has started plucking some of his feathers and he can't be handled. His little hiney is just a puff of down, and there is some plucking going on on his chest. His beak is overgrown. And, he did give my finger a good chomp as I was moving him. But, he is safe and sound here for as long as it takes to fix him up and find him a home that will love him. Oh, and I don't know what they had been feeding him, but he ate like he was starving the second I put food in his dish.

I am thinking of naming him Raven, but I'm not completely sure yet.
Here he is:

Poor little guy, I love the name Raven for him!

Aww what a cute lil guy. I hope he finds a wonderful home.

He is beautiful. Thank goodness he is safe and sound with you. I am sure his owner loved him dearly, it is wonderful that you are able to give him a second chance to find another loving home.

He is gorgeous! Bronze wing pionus is on my dream list! I am so glad he found a safe place to land with you!
(and I wish I was closer so I could give him a home!)

Poor little guy. I hope he recuperates and finds a loving forever home. He's a cutie!

I'm so sad to report that I came home from work yesterday to find that Raven had passed away. I guess he had just had enough. RIP Raven. I hope you are flying in the sky with your mama.

Fly free with beautiful plumage, and may you reunite with your loved one Raven. Very sad.

So sad to hear. But thanks to you that give him a chance. :40: His last days in life where happy. Be proud of yourself for that! <3

Thanks, Guys. Yesterday was a rough day. Poor little Raven was with me less than a day. The really sad part with Raven is that in that short time, someone had found him who wanted to adopt him. He was so close to another loving mama.

Oh I am so sorry. Poor Raven. Thank you for opening your home. Hopefully he is with his Mom again.
