We had a bad rain storm last night.
My son and I were going out to a meeting.
A beautiful little cocktail was standing near our garage.
She was so scared, running up and down.
I think it was female, had the most beautiful coloring I have ever seen.
My son ran up to get s shoe box, she willingly came to me.
I picked her up, started calming her down.
She immediately climbed on my shoulder, and started rubbing her neck on mine.
I then placed her in the shoe box, took her to my neighbor, to look
after till we returned. My neighbor feed her some bird seeds, she was starving.
She felt so at home, she was flying all over the apartment, and sitting on Belinda's lap.
When returning home, she looked okay. Played with her, she said a few words, hello good girl, pickaboo and whatever.
It was awesome.
I placed her in a small cage. Covered the cage, kept her in my bedroom to keep an eye on her.
At about 3am I heard her moving around, checked to see if she was okay.
She started falling off the perch, placed her back and she fell off again.
I took her out, she climbed onto my chest and started squeaking.
Her body went limp, and she fell down.
Had her on my lap, she tried to climb up again.
I held her gently, kissed her.
That was her last breath.
I was devastated, just cried and cried.
Have posted pictures of her which I took of her when still alive.
How worried the owners must be !!!!
At least she was not on her own in the rain when she died.
Hope she makes many friends at Rainbow Bridge

Oh how sad. At least she wasn't alone. Poor little thing. Good thing you were there for her...even if it did break your heart you made her last moments better then they would have been. :(

So sorry... losses of our pets are very hard. My heart goes out to you!
