While I was heading out to go get gas before work as my tank was empty. Got out just a bit early so I can get gas. I saw this pretty girl ran to the side of my house. I called out, what you doing, come here. She ran right to me. I called my neighbor as I was in need to leave so I can get gas and make it to work on time. So she helped me watch her until my partner gets home. She ate and drank, scratch and chew on herself like no tomorrow....Couldn't bathe her until I get home, then we watched some DVR programs, I treated all the dogs and cats for fleas as I see them scratching too. Took her to the tub and give her a flea bath, HUNDREDS of fleas.....The bath water was pure grime and she stink.....Also cleaned out her nasty ears. Then water all my plants and do water change on two fish tanks. Yea like I didn't have enough to do already....lol....Started at Midnight and it's quarter after 3am right now....After she's completely dried tomorrow I need to give her flea treatment as well. Then I need to find her owners and give them a piece of me.....If I can't find them, a friend of mine will take her as she knows no kill shelters she can go to.

Here's a couple pictures of her taken on my neighbor's patio....

She's so pretty! The owners are going to be so lucky you went out of your way to help clean her up. She must've been on the streets for so long, she seems like a great dog, I'd be devastated if I lost her.

Please keep us updated if you find the owners..and what you're going to say to them!

She's a wonderful dog, well mannered!!! She will come to you and sit when you ask her to. She will shake hands too. She's not malnourished but she's still in the growth spur, need to go get some puppy chow tomorrow as she's still growing. We fed her adult food right now as that's all we had in the house. I would guess she's around 8 months old. It seems like she was trained well so I'm not sure what I'm gonna say to the owners as of yet. She have no collar nor a tag so my neighbor had an extra collar for her to use for now. She will need to be dewormed, especially after all that fleas she was infested with. Tape worm heaven.....She needs to go soon though cause my birds are freaking out from her presence, they're used to our dogs, but not the new one....

Regardless of what I must do right now, I would never allow a dog to free roam the roads as I will always stop to pick them off the streets. IF I do find the owners, first speech would be flea treatment 101....lol

Mikey, thank you for picking up this dear little girl! Just imagine how she'd have ended up if you hadn't?

Since she seems otherwise well cared for (aside from the fleas), maybe she escaped from her owners by accident? I hope you find them soon anyway. It's a strain having a new animal in the house with others to worry about as well.

You also need to slow down and take it easy. It's not so long since you were sick from working too much. Cleaning fish tanks at 3am isn't good for you! XX

She's such a pretty little girl. Thank you for helping her in spite of your busy schedule, Mikey. I know she feels better after a bath and a meal. I hope you find a great home for her.
Please take better care of yourself, my friend.

Trish,

Insomnia bites.....lol.....couldn't sleep til 5am and I'm already up at 9:30

Oh dear! My husband and daughter suffer terribly from insomnia too. I wish there were a magic cure for it. :(

Try and rest when you can then, Mikey. I really feel for you - it's no fun going off to work looking like a panda and feeling like a heap of - well - the stuff we clean out of birdcages. XX

I had a reply today from a lady down the road telling me she's been out for awhile. I posted an lost and found ad. So that makes me even more irked at whomever that had her didn't care nothing about her. But a friend's daughter is coming to look at her Wednesday, she's 16 years old and she did great with my dogs so I think she'll be great there. I'm starting to like her as she's such a sweet baby. The following picture is taken while she's sleeping with a bone in her mouth.

LOL..such a cute picture. You are her angel Mikey. She is lucky you found her and took care of her.

What I find odd is the previous owners taking all that time and effort with training her but apparently she got lose and they didn't want to find her. I know how much time and effort it takes to train a puppy and if she is well mannered and trained someone took the time to do this. If she has been on her own for a while enough to get flee infested maybe the owners are having a hard time relocating her? Who knows. I do hope you find her owners as I wonder if they are really missing her.

Regardless she is well taken care of and I m sure given a lot of love under your care.

That's why I posted her in lost and found. She shouldn't be hard to track cause she stayed in this location for awhile if the owners had just taken the time to come out to look for her. I know I would!

Saving animals begins with each of us and is one life at a time. Thanks for what you did - the doggie sure does!!

Wonder if she is microchipped??

Mikey, just be wary of using a lost and found ad, i've posted one withthe dog's pic once and lerned my lesson fast, i had like 4 people call and say "Yep, thats my dog"
so now i always ask for a description or photo.

just a heads up, but i'm sure you knew this already.

By the way, she is adorable. You should Keep her :D :D :D

I posted location and called it Brown and White dog found, please provide description or a photo is best. I knew better then to post her photo. I highly doubt she's been microchipped.....I just can't take in another rescue.....Just adopted Charlotte the one eyed kitty not long ago. My other dogs are showing their color right now towards her, one of them attacked her last night and she ran crying and hiding behind me shivering....So I've been guarding her by my side. This won't work cause it's 3 against one, she's the youngest and they're going after her. My friend will be bringing her 16 year old daughter to look at her tomorrow, they already have a dog but this would be her dog.

Your amazing for doing this. I hope she finds a better new home, possibly one with frontline lol. She is a very cute dog and since she's friendly I hope she gets the lovin home she deserves!

Did you take her to get scanned? Just by chance that she could be either a shelter dog or be someone's beloved pet?

She went to her new home tonight. They're taking her to the vet to have her checked. They will scan them at the vet's office. I've been trying to keep my distance a bit from doing too much with her cause I get attached easily. Like tonight I got emotional after she left. :(
