Does anybody have advice on poop training my Jenday Conure is three years old any chance I can still train him?

I got Perjo mostly poop trained. I made sure she understood that the word poop was associated with her actual pooping.

I just kept acknowledging everytime she pooped with a "you pooped!". After a month or two I would say "make poop", I don't use the command make with anything else I say to her. After two weeks she would poop on command usually. Sometimes she cannot do it b/c she just can't poop, but if I wait for about a minte she usually makes a poop while perched on my hand.

Mine got trained, when he had to poop I put him to a place he was supposed to poop on, and when he did I was like "Good boy " and gave him scratches ☺

Wellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll...
This is the sad story of how the Rickeybird was toilet-trained for about an hour, back around 1990. I think he was maybe 5-6. I was reading Bird Talk, by then, and decided that I would try out some of the techniques. So I began taking the Rbird over a paper every 10 minutes or so and holding him there until he pooped, at which time I said "Boo-boo!" in a happy voice. Soon, I could take him to the paper, say Boo-boo and he'd poop. As hoped for, as the day wore on, HE began to say Boo-boo and then poop when I held him over the target. He and I were both delighted, and we practiced and practiced. Sadly, it wasn't even an hour before he began saying Boo-boo every 30 seconds and then flying away when I headed for the paper. I accepted defeat graciously. To this day, he will sometimes yell Boo-boo ten or fifteen times within a minute or so, usually pooping wherever he happens to be. *sigh*
I surrendered. I wish you better luck. :)

He's definitely a punk, LOLLLLL!!!!!! I so want to meet him in person. He tops my Buddy.

I have my Bella trained but it is both the "command" Go Poop and the location (chair in kitchen with her bum hanging over the trash can.

She normally takes a large poop in the morning when I first take her out of her cage. So I would put her in her potty location and say "go poop". I would say she picked it up in about 2 weeks.

It took longer for her to realize I did not want her to poop on me or my clothes. I would just watch her body language and when she was getting ready to let go I would move or jerk making her move and do it somewhere else. Took maybe about a month till she would move without encouragement to make her droppings where it was acceptable.

Thank you all very much. When I want buddy to poop I will say "poop on-demand"and if I waited a second or two he would finally poop but then I would let him on my shoulder and he'd poop again he's the most poopy bird I've ever known it seems like he poops every 20 seconds it's crazy! And it's not like I'm feeding him anything unusual, the boy just likes to poop LOL

we could have a poop competition. My Bella poops more frequently than any of my birds.
It could be like a Rooster crow contest.
stop watch, count the number of poops in 1 hr.
;)

Gus is better trained than we are. Sometimes he will get anxious while being held, and sometimes it's because he has to poop and sometimes he's just anxious. So if we misread him, he poops where he is. He sometimes gets nervous without pooping, but he ALWAYS gets nervous when he does have to go.

Ollie is potty trained to go into the sink when I put him there, he holds it when he is on me and then goes on a play stand/cage/sink.If I am not paying attention he will go on me but it has been like 3 months since that has happened. When he has to go he gets nervous and starts craning his neck and looking around or pops up from where he is playing very fast. He also is learning to back up a little to let me know which is very helpful. He is now learning that he can't potty anywhere but those places, he likes to potty on the counter/table/floor but I am teaching him! He is doing well.
