I decided to give sewing a poop cape a go today. I have a thousand cloth nappies from when my kids were little. I only ever used them as spit-up cloths so they are in pretty good condition so I decided to use one! I ran hemming tape around the raw edges and added some velcro (black, I know but it's all I had!) and some green ribbon to attach toys to! Don't know if it'll be a success, but we'll give it a try!

Super Pooper!!

I like it. It looks nice and soft and seems just right for the job.
I have a poop cape I purchased but it is really funky looking. We only use it sometimes. I have a designated "poop jacket" that I often wear now (it is an older 'retired from daily use' sweat jacket that I just wash all the time and let him climb all over me when i'm wearing it). He is relatively polite with the pooping but he still will poop on me sometimes. Gotta protect your nice clothes. :)

I thought I'd trial this one and if it works well I'll whip up a couple more for rotation! (I have SOO many nappies (um diapers to most of you!) sitting there doing nothing!)

Wouldn't men's t shirts cut down the side work as well? Then you could even have it hanging over the top of your shoulders

I cheated... I bought one! TBH though, I love the idea of having multiple ones on hand!
