Venus loves pomegranate so much she will show you who's pomegranate it is lol. It's pomegranate season so I thought I'd share about it and how I serve it.
First, cover things with plastic, towels, etc. The juice is red and after my fids finish it looks like a murder scene. I give them a piece of pomegranate so they can pull the seeds out themselves. The first time I prepped pomegranate I had Venus with me in the kitchen. I had quartered the Pom and was following instructions on Pinterest. Venus marches up to a quarter and went to town seeding it. Great foraging!!! That's why I give them a chunk. Now why give them a chunk?
Here is a Pom I got this morning. It's bigger than a softball! There is my hand and a 4 inch paring knife next to it. It's HUGE!
Here is the Pom cut in half. Then I cut half in half, the chunks at the bottom are what I serve. They do not eat the white membrane, they pull the seeds out and eat them. It keeps them busy for a while. Now since this Pom is so big I'll put some in their chop but also share with my nieces. They love it. So if you've never served Pom to your fid, try it!
