Hi there!! It's been a long time since I posted on this forum and now my rainbow lorikeet is almost one year old! He basically has all the normal colors of a rainbow lorikeet but I was seeing some pictures online of wild rainbow lorikeets and noticed that they have black around their eyes which is something mine does not have. He does have a bit of small hairlike black feathers near his nose but has white skin around the eyes and not black as I have seen in other pictures across the internet. I wanted to know if this small detail is something that will appear when he is older or if it is a kind of mutation and will stay that way. Thanks!
