Please help

Can anybody please help me to tame my blue Indian ring neck i bought from a lady I'm not even sure if it's a young parrot as he or she seems to be very scared . I'm tryin to tame him or her to be my best friend but have no luck what so ever , I can usually tame any parrot but never tried ring necks please can somebody help me

Took me four weeks, to even get Bobby used to me being by his cage. Gotta start real slow. Talk to them, be near them all the time, gain their trust. Don't force anything as it won't help.

Assess his diet, get him on a healthy one. LOW or no sunflower seed, I mix a low sunflower seed, (johnson and Jeff's) over here with pellets and add warm water. He likes it now, but that also took a while.

Fresh veg, fruits and pulses in the morning.

Best thing I ever got was a clicker and watched training vids on youtube.

Each day I was able to be closer to the cage, then my hand on the cage, then resting on the open door, then in the cage, on his perch, nearer and nearer. Then he started to come out, would go in by himself. Teaching him to get used to step up was harder. Find yours favourite food. Bobby would do anything at first for fresh foods. Now he'll do anything for food period. But he LOVES pine nuts.

So he only gets them when he's a really good boy
