My CAG is a great bird. Healthy and happy and talks up a storm. The problem is he will not come out of his cage. I have resorted to at times putting gloves on and 'pulling' him out. Not aggressively as I would never hurt him. Once he is out, he sits on my shoulder and does great. It is just that he will NOT venture out at all. He also will give you a nice bite if you stick your hand in there. I have to either give him a treat to distract him to get to his bowls or wait until he is on the bottom or opposit side of the cage from the bowls. He is so protective of his cage territory.
Any suggestions? I would just like him to have some out of cage time to enjoy himself.
