plastic shower curtain rings

Yes. My Macaw loves them . Hook it into a chain and they will play for hours

Please be careful since you'll be using it for your Sun Conure. If there's the slightest chance the bird can get the head stuck in one of the rings - then don't use them.

Ooh that is a thought.. i think the bars on the playstand are thick enough to make that difficult though, as long as i don't make a chain with them

here he is on the playstand with the current set of rings which i found out are not bird safe due to the metal not being SS..

I see what you are doing with them now. Like JerseyWendy said make sure his head can't get caught.
You could always put one up and post picture . Someone with a bird the same size as yours could let you know.

Plastic shower curtain rings are fine so long as you use the ones with a gap in them (so your bird can't get its head stuck). The only thing is, they don't last long because birds just love to chomp on the soft plastic. I think it must feel like some kind of teething ring (beaking ring?) to them. Or something. A better option is the cheap linking rings you can get for babies: they last a good bit longer, being made of sterner stuff.

Another danger with those hooks are the way they clasp together. A toe could get pinched, or worse, if chomped on just right, run through the beak!

Yea those shower hooks would scare me with my gcc or any bird.
I would find a different option. Plastic shower curtains or baby rings

Wendy brings up a good point for smaller birds who could get their head stuck, but for larger birds, those plastic shower curtain rings are great! My mom has used them for years with her birds, and they work great as a alternative to quick links.

Another option I use are the chain links. The heavy plastic chain, hdepo and lowes have it in yellow and white. When they cut it, they toss the cut link away. Any time I am in either store, I swing through that area and grab them.

I've always used the baby links. You can get those at the dollar stores, so it's cheaper as well.
