I don't have any human kids, but I'm sure if I did I'd be one of those annoying new moms who has to show everyone pictures 24/7. (Do people see it as annoying nowadays? I remember an old I Love Lucy episode where Lucy and the Applebee's had a fight over baby pictures LOL).

Anyway I wanted to ask a question regarding pin feathers... how do you all help your birds take care of the pins on their heads? Loco will NOT let me help with his pins! BUT he will let another Kim.. (the owner of the grooming/parrot store I go to) help! :11:

Here's some pictures of my Loco.

We watch Wheel of Fortune together,

Here he is conquering his fear of ladders

It took a long time for him to lay on his back without holding my fingers!

He recently (a month or two ago) Loco found his tongue and loves playing with it and/or licking me! lol

Loco Kisses!!

Last but not least, my other 2 babies! They are in a large cage with a divider between them. I bought the green one, female, name Peepsie, from Petsmart before I got Loco. Then I got a call from a friend asking me to rescue the yellow one, male name Tweety. Apparently, his owner bought 2 cats who wanted to eat him! So thinking Peepsie may want a friend I agreed to take him. Well Peepsie wasn't thrilled. So I bought the cage with a divider. They get along and sleep next to each other... I am slowly re-introducing them with the hopes of them accepting one another, if this photo is any indication, I have HIGH hopes!

I hope everyone has a great Holiday Season and MERRY CHRISTMAS

Nice looking birds, but apparently Loco must not think you had the soft touch he prefers of those who preen his pin feathers...neither of my suns let me pinch their feather sheaths, but the rest will.....

I have a conure and 2budgies as well. Budgies usually get along quite nicely, especially if they're the only 2 in the house. :) my conure sometimes lets me work on his head & neck pins, but not always. The best time is after a bath, and it's easier if he's snuggled against my chest. But one wrong move...and SNAP! He nails me. Touching a sensitive (not ready) pinnie always gets a reaction. But don't worry, they break apart on their own, and with the rubbing the bird will do on different surfaces. If he doesn't let you he'll be fine. :)
Love the pics btw!

Loco's beautiful, I love that first precious photo. Tweety and Peepsie are darling too.

Thank you everyone for your responses... it's hit and miss with loco, sometimes he'll let me help with his pins... other times no way!

Thank you Allee! He is not shy when it comes to the camera that's for sure!

Great pics and beautiful birdies!;) You can show all the pics you want here! It's not annoying to us! I know what you mean though,..I show pics of my fids at work and I'm sure some of them get annoyed as they are not bird people and don't understand...lol. I show them anyway...:54:
