Pictures of my Brown head and a ?

Hello,

I'd like to introduce us. My name is Brad and my brown head's name is Samantha(Sam for short). I have had some concerns with her. Weight wise she is at 105/106 grams. She is about 2 years old now. Her weight doesn't fluxuation much more then +/- 1 gram either way. The average weight for a brown head is above 125... now it is an average and I understand some fall below and above...but is she underweight? I've taken her to two avian vets all of whom says shes just fine.

Hi Brad and welcome to the forum, I have to say Sam looks beautiful and healthy to me, that being said I would probably go with the word of 2 Avian vets that have had actual hands on with her than to take the advice of anyone on a forum, this is a great forum for general information and some sound advice, thanks for sharing the pics, enjoy your stay

Hi Brad and Sam! Welcome aboard! Brad, I use to breed brown heads! They are in my top three of all time favorite parrot species! Just wonderful little birds. What you say is true. There is a norm as far as weight range goes. But that doesn't mean Sam is underweight. She appears healthy, beautiful and happy. If the vets felt she looked fine I wouldn't worry. Enjoy her for the little girl she is!
