Well found a way to post pics so here they are..This is lucy my New rescue... Check out her feathers she is a plucker.. Even though I haven't seen her pluck yet.. She is preening.. Her tail and wing feather are all messed up.. I swear they look like she may have been kept in a small cage for to long..

I was able to take a picture of her eyes.. So maybe someone can tell me how old they think she is.. PO states about a yr and a half..but her behavior make me believe she is a lot younger... The cage she came in was brand new..It was dirty with no paper but after cleaning up it looks brand new.. Even had the price tag on the back..

Thoughts opinions??

Greenwing you found a way to post pictures :p? I'd say one and a half sounds about right to me.... Although the eyes lie I have a nine year old macaw and know of a fifty year old macaw plus other middle aged macaws with dark "baby" eyes.

Thanks for sharing she's beautiful.

Justin.. I had to buy Tapatalk HD.In order to post....the free version of tapatalk is not compatible with the forum

She still seems a lot younger.. She does everything like a baby....Her posture with droopy wings looks like she is begging, She Flaps her wings slowly on top of the cage like she wants to fly..she makes all sorts of noise like she is going to kill you if you try to touch her but basically she just mouth you..

I see I'll look into it... Still waiting for wenz to see what he gets worked out.

Hmm yeah I'm not sure I just doubt she's very young. I mean my macaws drop low and begg and flap and so on and they are for sure not babies. The flapping is exercise really my one macaw boo does it all the time.. I say his working out for the girl macaws in the room:). Yea I got a couple as well that growl when you go to pick them up I believe these are all just macaw traits:).
