Just want to share my Blue Naped Parrot. He is 8 months old and I just acquired him today. He is still in the process of adjusting to my place, but is willing to eat offered from my fingers. He has a few words in his vocabulary. Hope he settles fast.

What a beautiful bird. Congrats on geting him

Gorgeous bird:)

So pretty! Never heard of that species until now, absolutely amazing!

It is endemic to my country, Philippines. The Blue-naped Parrot can be found throughout the Philippines including on islands off Borneo and the Talaud Islands. It can be found in forests to scattered trees up to 3280 feet (1000 meters). They flock in groups of usually less than a dozen and feed on berries, seeds, nuts and grain. Habitat loss and trapping have made them scarce on most islands except Mindoro and Palawan.

Hello, kabayan! He is beautiful. How about Maharlika because he is so majestic looking. :)

 Just WOW!!!!! STUNNING bird!!! :D

Sorry, I'm not good at names...but I'm sure someone will come up with something REALLY good. :)

Beautiful bird! Reminds me a little bit of an alexandrine, and a lot of a great-billed parrot. Stunning.
